Privacy Policy

QuietPerch (“QuietPerch,” “we,” “us”) provides an AI-powered tool that helps you understand and prioritize your email. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using QuietPerch, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Google account data. When you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile (name, email address, and profile image) and, with your consent, read-only access to your Gmail.
• Email data. To provide the service, we read the content and metadata of your messages (sender, subject, body, dates, labels). We use this only to generate the features below.
• Derived data we store. We cache AI-generated results — a category, a short summary, and a suggested action for each email thread — so the app is fast and works across sessions. We do not store copies of your full raw emails on our servers.
• Payment data. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
• Messages you send us. If you contact us (e.g. via our contact form), we keep your name, email, and message to respond.

How we use your data

We use your information solely to provide and improve the service: classifying threads, generating summaries and suggested actions, grouping projects, surfacing what needs your attention, answering your questions about your own inbox, processing payments, and providing support. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data

We request only the gmail.readonly scope — QuietPerch can read your mail but can never send, delete, or modify it, and we never see your Google password. QuietPerch's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not allow humans to read it except where you explicitly ask us to, where required for security or to comply with law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

AI processing

To generate categories, summaries, and answers, relevant email content is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) via its API. This content is used only to produce your results and is not used to train AI models.

Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers that help us run QuietPerch, and only to the extent needed to deliver the service:

• Google — sign-in and Gmail access
• Anthropic — the AI that analyzes your threads
• Neon — database hosting for your account and derived data
• Vercel — application hosting
• Stripe — payment processing
• Namecheap Private Email — email delivery for support and notifications

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and service.

Data retention

We keep your account information and derived data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account or request deletion, we remove your stored data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and limit access to what is necessary to run the service.

Your choices and rights

You can revoke QuietPerch's access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page, or by signing out. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your stored data by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.

Children

QuietPerch is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
